36 Week Ultrasound

It was sort of challenging to get a picture of the boys since they are so squished, but they were showing their faces today. Boris was squirming a lot, which is why his picture is very squished and difficult to see. But, this is probably the boys' last photo in utero so I had to put it on the blog.

We had our 36 week ultrasound this morning. They are both doing great and growing. They were weighed this morning the results are in...
Albus: 6 lb. 3 oz.
Boris: 6 lb. 7 oz.

We'll see how much longer they hang out in there...they must be getting ready! Due to their great report today, we have graduated from ultrasounds!! No more! Now we just have to wait to see when they arrive!

Elsa reads the paper

I know I already posted a picture of this, but it's hilarious to me that this is her dinnertime choice of activity. This baby flyer is getting very gross and covered in food at this point.

35 Week Update

It was very difficult to get a good photo of Elsa with her Uncle "Veedee" or "Bonker" as she was calling him by the end of the trip. Stevie was very photogenic, but Elsa had other things on her mind. If you ask Elsa why she started calling Stevie "Bonker" she will reply something about him getting beaten up by the stroller ;)
Here is what Elsa will look like in about 80 years. She was quite enthralled with Elmo, Dora, Mickey & Minnie, and many babies in this flyer. I don't know if she found any good deals. By the way, it's not like she just picked this up and I happened to snap a photo...she read this thing for a good 5-10 minutes during dinner.
And, finally, here is the belly at 35 weeks. All things checked out well at the doctor today. The doc told me my blood pressure has been "awesome" lately (pretty much since I stopped work!) I had a non-stress test and had many contractions, but the babies were good & active. They are quite cumbersome to lug around at this point and I'm starting to feel like their birth is looming, but I want them in for at least 1 more week.

Dr. Pea!

Aaron completed his thesis defense on Tuesday and is now Dr. Thorner! Congratulations!! His family and Stephen were here to celebrate the event along with him. According to Alexis, we all now know how special ed kids feel when they are sitting in the classroom and the teacher is talking and they have no idea what is going on. But, we all stayed awake during his talk! :)

Here is Aaron popping the cork into the ceiling to sign his name in the lab and then celebrating a little (you have to ignore the preggo mama in the background...)

34 Week Twin Update: The ultrasound on Tuesday morning was good - nothing new to report. The twin peas are getting bigger and still moving around. :)

33 Week Update

We'll start off with something cute. I picked up the camera and Elsa said "Cheese."

Now, on to the update. I had my 33 week ultrasound this afternoon. The boys checked out great with ample fluid & movement. We watched Boris kick Albus repeatedly in the chest. They weighed in at 4 lb. 3 oz (Albus) & 4 lb. 11 oz (Boris). These are great weights for the babies at this point. Yay boys!

I got a package in the mail the other day from my Grammy with a card that said "THIS IS A JOKE" on the front. Enclosed was this men's 3XL t-shirt. I'm SO glad it is this huge.

Aaron wanted a comparison photo of my belly now at 33 weeks with the twin peas and 39 weeks with Elsa. Of course, we learned this afternoon that I have 8 lb. 14 oz & about 36 inches of baby inside me now compared with the 7 lb. 14 oz & 21 inches of Elsa at 41 weeks when she was born. The first photo is today and the 2nd photo is 39 weeks with Elsa.
And, finally, here is Elsa, showing off her belly, too!

32 Week Update

I don't have much to update this week. The twin peas are both looking great and kicking ridiculous amounts. I wish you could send a feeling to other people, so everyone could know how it feels having an octopus inside them. It's my first week being done work, so I've been lounging, watching TV, reading, and sleeping. Speaking of sleeping...it sucks. Between peeing, the octopus, being hungry, having heartburn, and trying to find a place to put the medicine ball belly, I sleep for 1.5-2 hours at a time. I guess this would fall into Jaime's "pity party" category. Oh well. But...I actually am feeling great that we have made it to 32 weeks and everyone is still doing well! Next week the boys will be weighed and measured...stay tuned.

Elsa Spells-a

This is one of our favorite things that Elsa does now. Anytime she sees letters anywhere, she starts to spell her name. Once you watch the video, you will see that I use the phrase "spell her name" quite loosely here. I also like how she says "poop" at the end...apparently we spell her name "E L A E poop."
