I wore my first pair of maternity pants to school today. Unfortunately for me, all my friends who have previously had babies are a LOT skinnier than me. So I am pretty certain that the reason these pants had a hard time staying up was because my butt was a little too "full" for the pants.
On the other hand - now that I have worn a pair, I can't figure out why in the world ALL pants don't have an elastic waist. I mean, what is the point of buttons & zippers? It was like sweatpants that looked like courduroys.
When I mentioned this to Aaron he said it was because you had to wear uncomfortable pants so that you could appreciate comfort more. His comparison was "there has to be evil because otherwise you wouldn't know what good is." I'm lucky to have such profound thinking related to everyday topics of conversation.
So, in conclusion - enjoy wearing your evil pants for now. But, once you get knocked up, you can truly understand what "comfort" is.

My boss was induced yesterday and again today... but anyways she has been wearing the CUTEST pants the past few months! I keep going "ooh, nice pants, where'd you get..aw never mind"
They look like regular khakis, with nice flare and cute butt pickets and then that big soft elastic waist, looks like heaven.
and by pickets, i mean pockets...
You know...when krislyn wore her maternity jeans I thought they were awesome cuz they were hot and looked comfortable. Travis says I should go for it and get them anyway, despite being barren.
