As I stated in a previous post, we both wanted a girl. We have received many "congratulations" from people, but also some funny and interesting responses to "We're having a girl", a few of which I've posted (anonymously) here.
"Oh no! You don't want that, they're more expensive."
"Oooo! Girls are the best!"
"Let me know when she's 18."
"You'll get over the disappointment of having a girl."
"You wanted a girl? That's weird. Most people want boys."
"Don't give her a crazy name [like celebrities do]."
"It's good to have the girl first and get it out of the way."
"You're lucky to be having a girl."
"I'll have to stop calling it 'my grandson'."

I like the tell me when she'd 18 one. LOL
I wish I wasn't one of the lame "Congratulations" people. I want to know who told you "You'll get over the disappointment of having a girl." AND I think you should name her something crazy. Expecially something like Apple, Coco or Suri. Those are EXCELLENT names.
