No Beer Queer

Last night we enjoyed a little dinner out with Chrissy, Andrew, & Jess. It was a lovely night to eat outside and celebrate, well, nothing...but we did have a gift certificate. Everyone drank plenty of beers to make up for my dryness. I got to smell them, though. :)
I went to the Dr. yesterday and got to learn about how gestations of sheep are very similar to those of humans apparently. This somehow was part of a conversation about working out in the pool instead of in the woods because it is too damn hot in NC. I didn't get yelled at for being too fat, so that is always a bonus. The baby's heart rate was 147 which I guess is good. She measured my gut, but I don't really know the results of that. In 3 weeks I have to drink some bright orange beverage and then hold my pee until they can do a glucose test...AND another syphilis test. I'm really glad that they think it is possible that I have contracted HIV, chlamydia, and syphilis (twice!) during this pregnancy.

y'all need to tell Ms. Chrissy and Ms. Jess to get on over to facebook and play me some marvelous scrabulous, cause I'm fixing to play.

You might as well stop playing with dirty needles while you're at it, so there's no question about whether you have the syph or the HIV. ;)

Is the guy going through the door someone you know? Because he is an awesome part of the picture. Sounds like you're doing well - sorry to hear about all the tests!

the orange beverage you will be drinking tastes just like extra sweet orange soda. i didn't mind the test, but i didn't have to hold my pee. i'm a little confused on why they said that to you.? the test is a blood test it has nothing to do with your pee. i also don't understand why they're doing another syphilis test on you. are you sure it's a syphilis test?

i hope you enjoyed your dinner. not being able to drink really sucks...trust me i know first hand!

good - maybe i won't have to hold my pee...that would be hard. I'm definitely sure it's a syph test (in addition to the other blood stuff) because I & the midwife laughed about it. She said it's an NC thing...
